Open Access & Intellectual Property Policy

1. Purpose and scope

This Open Access and Intellectual Property Policy establishes the principles and

conditions applicable to:

• the consultation and availability of the contents;
• the ownership of copyright;
• the publication authorization granted to the journal;
• the license applicable to the published works;
• the reuse and attribution of content;
• self-archiving and deposit in repositories;
• the use of materials belonging to third parties;
• the protection of images, data, brands, inventions and traditional knowledge;
• text and data mining;
• automated processing and the use of artificial intelligence;
• preservation of the published record;
• corrections, retractions and withdrawals due to violation of rights.

This policy will be applicable to the content published by Líder Agropecuario in format

written, graphic, sound, audiovisual, multimedia, digital, printed, interactive or in any

another present or future medium.

Its provisions will be interpreted in a complementary manner with the Editorial Policy, the

Policy for Authors, the Evaluation Policy, the Ethics, Integrity and Use of AI Policy, the

Institutional Sustainability and Editorial Independence Policy, the Privacy Notice, the

Terms and Conditions, the Publication Agreement and other institutional instruments

applicable.

2. Commitment to open access

Editorial content identified as open access will be available

free of charge from the moment of publication, without embargo period.

Readers will be able to consult, read and download said content without the need to

make payments, contract subscriptions or register in advance, unless registration is

technically necessary to access additional services that do not condition the consultation

of the publications.

The magazine will ensure that its contents are:

• consulted;
• downloaded;
• shared;
• cited;
• printed;
• distributed;
• incorporated into educational activities;
• deposited in repositories;
• reused and adapted in accordance with the applicable license.

Open access will include both the version published on the journal's official site and

copies legitimately deposited in repositories, libraries, information systems,

indices, academic platforms and preservation services.

The free availability of content will not imply that it belongs to the domain

public or that can be used without acknowledging the author, source, license and rights

from third parties.

Information on open access, rights ownership and license must appear

clearly on the journal's site and, where technically possible, in the versions

HTML and PDF of each publication. This public identification responds to the principles of

editorial transparency and open access recognized by DOAJ and Latindex.

3. Rights of authors

The authors will retain their moral rights over the published works.

Agricultural Leader will permanently recognize:

• the right of the authors to be identified;
• recognition of their intellectual contribution;
• respect for the integrity of the work;
• the power to oppose false attributions;
• the identification of modifications or adaptations made by third parties;
• the other rights recognized by applicable legislation.

Moral rights will not be transferred to the magazine.

When the authors are legitimate owners of economic rights,

will retain said rights and will not be obliged to make a total or exclusive transfer to

favor of Agricultural Leader.

When the economic rights correspond totally or partially to an institution,

employer, financier, previous publisher, producer, heir, assignee or any other

Publication in Líder Agropecuario will not transfer ownership of the work to the magazine or

The Federal Copyright Law recognizes the author as the original owner of rights

moral and patrimonial, and allows the holder of the patrimonial rights to grant

4. Non-exclusive publication authorization

24. Policy Update

This policy may be updated to:

• address legal reforms;

• respond to technological changes;
• strengthen the protection of perpetrators;

• regulate new forms of publication;
• address the evolution of artificial intelligence;
• protect collective rights;
• meet information systems, directory or index requirements;
• will correct gaps or inconsistencies.

The modifications will not retroactively affect the validly granted licenses or the

25. Validity

This Open Access and Intellectual Property Policy will come into force from its date of publication.
