Follow these guidelines to register and submit your manuscript to our Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform smoothly and avoid initial desk-review delays.
Pre-Submission Checklist
Before logging into the OJS platform, make sure you have the following items ready and properly formatted:
The main file must include author names, affiliations, acknowledgments, and standard methodological structure for accurate evaluation and recording.
Separate supplementary document including: Full name of each author, mandatory ORCID, full institutional affiliation, country, and corresponding author email.
Explicit declaration confirming the work is unpublished, not under simultaneous review elsewhere, and disclosing substantive use of Generative AI tools.
Clear summary in rigorous dissemination style (150 to 250 words) and 4 to 6 keywords in Spanish and English.
Crisp images (minimum 300 dpi) with clear captions, data sources, and copyright reprint permissions if derived from third parties.
Consistent bibliography with active DOI hyperlinks (https://doi.org/...) for all cited sources with persistent identifiers.
Steps to Submit Your Manuscript on the OJS Platform
Registration / Login on OJS
Access the platform directly: revista.lideragropecuario.org. If you are a new author, complete registration to begin. If you already have an account, log in.
Start New Submission
In your Author Dashboard, click "New Submission". Choose your submission language and section, and check all pre-submission checklist boxes.
Upload Files
Upload your main text document under the "Article Text" component. Upload your author sheet, ethics letter, and figures as "Supplementary Files".
Enter Metadata
Fill in the title, abstract, and keywords. Add all co-authors with full names, institutional affiliations, countries, and ORCID identifiers.
Confirm Submission
Review all entered information on the confirmation screen and click "Finish Submission". You will receive an immediate automated email acknowledgment.
Common Mistakes to Avoid:
- Omitting complete author metadata: Missing institutional affiliations, emails, or countries will delay initial desk review.
- Not registering all co-authors in OJS: All co-authors must be recorded in OJS in the identical order listed on the identification sheet.
- Missing ORCID iD: Required for indexing, disambiguation, and academic traceability of all published articles.
- Undisclosed AI use: Must be declared in the cover letter and within a designated manuscript section if Generative AI tools were used for drafting, analysis, or translation.
